Ductless Fume Hood
A Ductless Fume Hood is a self-contained laboratory enclosure that captures chemical vapors, fumes, odors, and particulates at the work surface, filters them, and returns the cleaned air to the room—without external ducting. It is commonly used where installing an exhaust system is impractical, expensive, or impossible.
How it works

A fan draws contaminated air through the hood’s front opening.

A pre-filter removes larger dust and particulates.

A main filter—usually activated carbon for gases/VOCs, or HEPA/ULPA for particles—captures the contaminants.

Filtered air is recirculated into the laboratory.
