Fume Hood

A fume hood (also called a fume cupboard) is a ventilated enclosure used in laboratories to capture, contain, and remove hazardous fumes, vapors, gases, and dust generated during experiments, protecting users from inhalation and exposure.Fume hoods are one of the primary engineering controls in chemistry and related labs. They’re designed so that airborne contaminants don’t reach the user’s breathing zone, and they also help control odors, reduce fire/explosion risk from flammable vapors, and keep the lab environment safer overall.

FUME HOOD APPLICATIONS

As the name explains itself, a Fume Hood is used in various applications in a Laboratory where fumes are generated and restriction of their exposure to the Operator and environment is Prime Requisite. Therefore, it is important equipment for any Laboratory aiming for enhancing safety of Personnel as well as Laboratory Environment. Common Applications and uses of a Fume Hood include Solvent Mixing, Soldering and Working With Volatile Organics, Powder and Flammable Chemicals, Different Types of acids.

Inner Working Chamber area is The most important Part of Fume Hood which remains in Direct Contact of Fumes, Acids and Different Types of Chemicals. We make Inner Chamber Walls of GI Powder Coated /Stainless Steel 304 Grade Which is Further Coated with FRP.

WORK BENCH

The Work Bench of Fume Hood is Made of Granite Marble.

EXTERNAL SURFACE

External Surface is Either Made of Powder Coated GI Sheet or Stainless Steel Sheet.

SASH

It is a Glass Window Mechanism Which is Moved Up and Down using Sash Track. Sash Track is a System Made of Weights And A Pulley. Operator Can Easily Move Sash Up Or Down And Keep At Desired Height During Work.

BLOWER

For Suction In Fume Hood We Provide Centrifugal Blower Assemble Made Of Direct Drive Motor.

CHEMICAL STORAGE CABINET

At The Bottom Of Fume Hood We Provide Cabinet To Store Chemicals.

SERVICE VALVES

Service Valves Are Optional Accessories: At Added Cost We Can Fit Wet And Dry Service Valves (Brass Needle Valves) For Raw Water, Nitrogen Gas, Air And Vacuum.

ELECTRICAL UTILITIES

To Run The Apparatus Inside Fume Hood, We Fit Electrical Sockets 2, 4 Or 6 As Required.
