Accumax India manufactures and supply standard and customized (in terms of functionality and capacities) an exclusive line of Dispensing booth which is a kind of partial purifying equipment for filling, refilling, weighing, and sampling of raw material and compounds. It comes with a HEPA filter, which uses the down-drought technique to stop dust from entering the air. To safeguard both the operator and the environment, the device removes powder pollution.

Pharmaceutical weighing booths and pharmaceutical sampling booths are other names for the dispensing booth.Accumax India Sampling booth comes with two to three validation ports for Pre-filters and HEPA filters. DOP test of dispensing booth must be repeated every 6 months for better functioning of the Sampling booth. Pharmaceutical Dispensing booth is used in the Pharmaceutical Industry in the field of Human Body injectables.

Dispensing Booth Working Principle

Downward Forced air of sampling booth extracts at low level into the booths cleanliness filtration system where contaminated particles are recirculated into the booth Air Flow. In standard Working condition of Pharmaceutical dispensing booth air pulled through the main chamber to steel exhaust grills used to fasten the HEPA & PRE-filters fitted in the rear side of the booths, It suppresses airborne dust particles away from the uses breathing area.

Dispensing Booth Differential Pressure

In a dispensing booth (also known as a sampling or weighing booth), differential pressure refers to the difference in air pressure between the booth's interior and the surrounding environment or between different stages of the booth's filtration system. It is a critical parameter in maintaining a controlled, clean environment, ensuring operator safety, and preventing contamination.

Role of Differential Pressure in Dispensing Booths

1. Negative Pressure Environment:

  • Dispensing booths are designed to operate under negative pressure relative to the surrounding area. This prevents hazardous powders or contaminants from escaping the booth, protecting operators and the external environment. Typically, the booth maintains a negative pressure of -10 to -25 Pascal (Pa), though some applications (e.g., biosafety labs) may require higher negative pressure (e.g., -30 to -60 Pa).

2. Filter Monitoring:

  • Differential pressure gauges monitor the pressure drop across filters (pre-filter, medium filter, and HEPA filter). This indicates filter condition:

1.Pre-filter (e.g., 10 µm): Measures pressure difference to detect clogging; replacement is needed if the pressure drop exceeds recommended levels.

          2. Medium filter (e.g., 3 µm): Similar monitoring ensures performance; high pressure drop signals replacement.

          3. HEPA filter (0.3 µm): A high pressure drop (e.g., >15 mm WG) indicates the filter is clogged and needs replacement to maintain cleanliness.

3. Contamination Control:

  • The negative pressure and vertical laminar airflow ensure that airborne particles (e.g., dust from weighing or sampling) are captured by the filtration system (pre-filter, medium filter, HEPA filter) and do not escape. Approximately 10-15% of air is exhausted to maintain negative pressure, while 85-90% is recirculated after filtration.
