Air Shower Blower
An air shower blower is a device used in cleanrooms and other controlled environments to remove particulate contaminants from people or objects before they enter a sterile or contamination-sensitive area. Here's how it generally works:
- Entry: The person or object enters the air shower, which is typically a small chamber or booth.
- Air Jets: High-velocity air jets blow air onto the person or object. These jets are usually positioned at various angles and heights to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Blower System: The air is supplied by powerful blowers that create a high-pressure airflow.
- Filtration: The air that is blown is filtered through HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) filters to ensure it is free of contaminants. The filtered air helps to dislodge and remove particles from the surface of the person or object.
- Exit: After a set period, typically 10-30 seconds, the air shower stops, and the person or object exits the chamber, now with reduced contaminants.
Air showers are commonly used in industries like pharmaceuticals, electronics, biotechnology, and food processing, where maintaining a clean environment is critical to product quality and safety.
